Stainless Salt Water Hook (20 pack) - Price: $7.99

    #150

    Rating:

This straight eye, 1 extra strong wire with a slightly wider gape makes for a perfect hook for salt water enthusiasts. It has a very fine grounded point (not chemically sharpened – the chemicals do not get along with this composition of steel). Very view competitor hooks come close to the sticky sharpness of this hook. This durable fine ground hook point makes for a perfect match for penetrating the bony shell crushing mouths of the salt water flats. Competitors hooks of comparison are called Tiemco 811S, Mustad 34007 or Dai-riki 930.

    Gamakatsu SC15 (12 pack) - Price: $5.99

    #151

    Rating:

Notice picture has two of our favourite hooks in this series. The smaller hook is this package. It is lighter wire but still super strong. I have landed big snook on this hook as well as small tarpon. This hook also ties perfect freshwater bass patterns and acts well as a trailer hook for intruder like steelhead flies.

Daiichi Circle Wide Hook - Price: $8.99

    #152

    Rating:

It is a well known fact when tarpon fishing - having you flies tied on circle hooks will increase your chances for landing your fish. I have experienced this crucial formula for success personally. Sure it is a more expensive hook but if you think about the cost of your salt water trip and just how many tarpon you hook up with on an average trip and now knowing you are going to land 50% more fish. The hook price is insignificant.

    Gamakatzu SC152H - 10pack - Price: $6.99

    #153

    Rating:

This is the best all around large streamer fly tying hook there. It is incredibly strong and super sticky sharp right out of the package. We use this hook on our Uncle Buck Musky flies as well as any of our large salt water tandem patterns. Tying pike flies like dalberg divers and bunker flies is a perfect match for this hook.
