Take Ververka Mantis Shrimp, EP Spawning Shrimp, Bonefish Special and add a few important extras, like translucent flecked rubber legs, very prominent black eyes and bead chain eyes for proper orientation in the water while the fly is sinking. A winner is born. Give them a try - they will not let you down.
Cuba was the reason this fly was tied. It has proven itself worthy in numerous other salt destinations. FM Shrimp is my go to fly the moment my feet hit the sand. I have even landed permit on it. Don't go south without a few, I will buy them back if they don't work.
