The tarpon bunny fly was originally designed to fish the Florida Keys in the early 70’s. This pattern's rabbit strip tail had lots of movement and was fairly durable. Easily tied and was made in a wide variety of colour combinations. Literally, one fly pattern had you covered for fishing stained brackish water to clear open water and anything in between. The biggest problem with this fly was its long soft Zonker tail. If it is not tied properly, the tail would foul with hook and ruin many of presentations. A hard mono tail stiffener loop is a must for this pattern!
