This fly pattern started the FM (full motion) fly series for Steve May. All fly tyers have their critical important elements they put into their feather and fur creations. Steve, myself and I must bring into this the infamous Ian James because we all have a recipe formula we believe in “MOVEMENT = LIFE = FOOD”.  All our flies incorporate some of this movement philosophy in some shape or form and the FM hex pattern scores very high in this important fish attracting detail .
